fifty years ago, Herman Kelly Ellis had a dream. It was to begin a popcorn company
which would produce, process and market a product which would be exceptional in its
quality. Through all those years and continuing to this day, just when the blazing summer sun touches the Kentucky countryside with fall yellows, that long-ago dream becomes reality and harvest time begins at Ellis Popcorn. The days have become shorter and nights are turning cooler and the popcorn must now be gathered. Popcorn fields are an impressive sight with giant combines combing the land in endless straight rows, gleaning the best the tall once-green stalks and the busy farmers have to offer. The shiny yellow kernels have begun their journey home to you, our customer. Here in our Murray, Kentucky plant the Ellis family and employees supervise all stages of the sorting, grading and processing that insure the finished product can indeed be called, "The World's Finest Popcorn."
